The White Board Wallpaper
There’s something about a coach and an empty whiteboard.
It rarely stays empty for long.
Plays get drawn. Then erased. Then drawn again. Routes overlap. Colors change. Notes get squeezed into whatever space is left. Eventually, every inch is covered. It starts to look less like a meeting room whiteboard and more like a kid’s coloring book.
That’s part of the creativity of coaching.
In the early days of the Air Raid, Hal Mumme and Mike Leach were constantly drawing, experimenting, and finding new ways to attack defenses. Their boards would fill up with formations, routes, protections, adjustments, and ideas. Messy to some. Beautiful to a football coach.
The first Air Raid wallpaper is inspired by those boards.
