The Master Piece
It started with a clinic and ended with a piece of Air Raid history.
Hal Mumme and Air Raid Certification hosted a clinic space at the AFCA Convention in 2022 expecting maybe a hundred coaches to come. More than 700 showed up.
Afterward, Hal threw a party at the historic Menger Hotel in San Antonio, Texas. Mike Leach and several other coaches were there, and sometime during the night, AJ Smith handed Hal his Microsoft Surface Pro and told him to draw 92. NFTs were the trend at the time, so AJ had an idea: “We’re going to sell this as an NFT.”
That never happened.
Instead, Hal’s drawing stayed exactly where he created it that night, saved on that Surface Pro for years.
Until now.
Here is the exact drawing Coach Mumme made that night at the party, Blu 92 “Mesh,” now framed as a masterpiece and signed by the Godfather of the Air Raid, Hal Mumme.
